Chinese-Style Fried Rice
1. Heat a pan and add some oil.
2. Take one slice of beef, cut it into cubes, and marinate it with soy sauce, vinegar, white pepper, and a little flour. Cook the beef in the pan for 3-4 minutes, then remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add:
- 1/2 zucchini, sliced into half-moons
- 1 bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1 red onion, sliced
Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add 1 clove of minced garlic and a chopped chili pepper. Cook for an additional 1 minute.
5. Now, add the cooked rice to the pan. Drizzle with soy sauce and a bit of sesame oil. Serve the rice on a plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Finish by seasoning with soy sauce and a touch of white pepper. Enjoy!
Chinese-Style Chicken Recipe (Quick Version)
Prep Time: 1 hour
Ingredients for Chicken:
- 1 chicken breast (600g)
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt, 1/3 tsp chili powder
Vegetables:
- 1 carrot (150g)
- 1/2 red bell pepper (110g)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 green onions
- 3 cm fresh ginger
- 1/2 chili pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
Sauce:
- 6 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 3 tbsp rice wine or vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp water
Other Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 100g bamboo shoots (drained)
- 150g rice (uncooked)
Instructions:
1. Stir-fry sliced carrot for 2-3 minutes, then add bell pepper, green onions, garlic, ginger, and chili. Cook for 5 more minutes.
2. Coat diced chicken in starch, salt, and chili, then fry for 5-7 minutes until golden.
3. Return vegetables to the pan, stir, and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Mix sauce ingredients, add to the pan with bamboo shoots, and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Serve with cooked rice, topped with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
